A Day in the Life is a new family portrait concept in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Daniel and Amanda Francis created the concept as a way to record and photograph the special moments in your family's life. Although they still do studio work, they found it was more memorable, more meaningful and more touching to bring the photography to you. Instead of the usual unnatural family poses in front of a plain background, Daniel and Amanda take pictures of you and your family in your natural environment: making cookies, at the park, reading books, playtime, etc. They help to create your unique story by tailoring each session to you and your family.In addition to breathtaking and priceless high-quality photos, A Day In the Life packages include an HD video and a preview video that can be uploaded to a video-sharing site, such as youtube, to share with your friends and family across the world!

"I have been involved in the photography industry for close to a decade. My interest in and love of the photographic world has spanned a lifetime. In my early teens, I began using a camera as a creative tool to inspired myself and others in the artistic world. This brought me to college where I took up graphic design. After graduating from Northwest Tech in Moorhead, MN; I took a job at a photography studio here in Fargo. I worked there for over six years and learned the business and creative process of running a photography studio. In 2008, I started my own company called Dan Francis Photography. I had been busy shooting commercial work and portraits until I decided to seperate myself and look towards the future of this great medium." ~Dan Francis. : The beginning of “ADITL” : .
In 2009, I decided to offer Fargo something new, different, and priceless.“A Day In The Life” was born.
“A Day In The Life” is an offer to be photographed and videoed inside the comfort of your house and for my team to create a story within those images into a movie for you to own and watch with your family. I wanted to be able to show families their love comfortably through still photographs and video.
Also, because this business is all about Emotion; we offer a showing of the video here at the studio for the parents to view on a 100” HD screen.

I am enthusiastic about teaching others about photography as well.I recentally was a college instructor for a course in Digital Photography at M-state in Minnesota.
I have also opened my office doors to teach photography and photoshop.
Although my photographs have been published widely, my inspiration for making beautiful images has always been to get out and photograph landscape and people.
